The Real Reason Why You’re Struggling Financially

Most of the clients I coach have serious roadblocks about money. A lot of my clients have lofty dreams such as wanting to donate enough money to help people and make a difference, but these same clients also think money is the root of all evil due to years of being brainwashed by their parents or other people in their lives.

By the way, the bible quote actually reads: The LOVE of money is the root of all evil.

Money itself is a tool, just like a hammer or saw is a tool.

A hammer or saw can be used to help build a house for someone, or it can be used to kill someone. Having the tool itself doesn’t make you evil.

Maybe you heard statements like this when you were growing up:

Money is the root of all evil
Rich people are just greedy pigs who take advantage of poor people.
Money’s not important.
All you need is enough money to pay your bills, anything else is a waste.

We all have these same kind of invisible scripts or beliefs that play constantly in our heads, and most of us aren’t even aware of them.

The problem with these statements is that you’ve heard them over and over and over growing up that they’ve now become part of your subconscious way of thinking. The problem with this way of thinking is that it prevents you from actually making the money that you want to make.

If you think that money isn’t important, you’ll never have any! If you subconsciously think that rich people are greedy pigs, you’ll NEVER be rich!

Let’s say someone gives you a million dollars. If you’ve grown up your whole life thinking that money is evil or rich people are greedy, your subconscious mind will find a way for you to get rid of the money. Most of you can think of a time in your life where you’ve received a windfall of money, only to be right back to square one a few months later and you don’t even remember what you’ve spent the money on.

Even though you needed and wanted the money, your subconscious is telling you that people with money are greedy. You obviously don’t want to be seen as greedy, so you’ll find a away to blow the money on random things just to make sure you’re not a rich, greedy pig.

It’s time to start taking a hard look at the voice in your head that’s keeping you stuck financially.

Once again, money is just a tool that can be used for both good and bad!

If you don’t change your mindset regarding money, you’ll always feel like you’re struggling financially.
